Arkatek,
Inc.
is an Arkansas
Corporation founded by H.D. McCullough, an electronics
engineer who is one of the pioneers of the home satellite industry.
Back in 1979, when the home satellite industry first started, H.D. designed and manufactured one of the first satellite dishes that worked. He called the
"8-Ball" which was made of angle iron, redwood strips, and screen wire. Then a year later, he designed the
"McCullough Receiver" which he manufactured and sold to thousands of
homeowners across the globe.
In the 1970s and 1980s, H.D. built some cable TV systems, all of which used his 8-ball antennas.
In the 1990s he built his own town's Cable TV system which he later sold to his son, Monty.
When 2002 came around, H.D. ventured into a new but related business, the communication tower
industry.
Arkatek,
Inc.
currently has 70 tower sites for sale or lease in Texas, Louisiana,
Iowa, and MS.
